Stem cell transplant. Clinical trial participation.
Craniotomy. Radiosurgery. Lymphadenectomy. Radiation.

The treatment decisions were as varied as the volunteers who made them, but today, the volunteers’ focus is singular: helping other patients and caregivers.

Late this summer, CHN hosted a series of web trainings to train a new class of Support Volunteers. These survivors will use their experiences to help patients now fighting cancer – providing a listening ear, sharing tips and inspiring hope.

We’re delighted to welcome these Support Volunteers to the team.

  • Bill – Myelofibrosis (type of Myeloproliferative Neoplasm – MPN, JAK2+)
  • David – Brain 4 (Glioblastoma, EGFRv3+)
  • Dick – Lung 4 (NSC, with recurrence/metastases to brain)
  • Dotty – Lung 4 (NSC-Adenocarcinoma, EGFR+)
  • Ron – Head & Neck – Tonsil 4 (HPV+)

For more than 30 years, Cancer Hope Network has provided one-on-one emotional support to cancer patients and their loved ones by matching them with trained volunteers. Each of our more than 400 Support Volunteers are at least one year post-treatment or successfully undergoing maintenance therapies.
