Being diagnosed with cancer is a life-altering, world-changing event.
Whether newly diagnosed or facing cancer again, there’s a flood of information coming your way and myriad decisions to be made: choosing the treatment option that’s right for you, facing the realities of treatment, and planning for life after cancer
Cancer Hope Network has teamed up with NAMCP Medical Directors Institute to share the following guides. Based on research done by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, they include input from doctors, nurses and patient advocates.
Officially part of the PAVE Project, designed to help Patients find Answers they will Value in order to create clear Expectations for their battle with cancer, the guides can be used individually or in tandem.
Our hope is that they will provide a place to begin the conversation with your care team and will encourage you as you become your own best advocate. As you use the questions on the guides, we’d welcome your feedback – what worked, what didn’t and what other information might be helpful. You can provide that by completing a brief survey HERE.
Through your entire journey, our trained Support Volunteers are here to help – discussing your diagnosis, sharing their own treatment experiences and providing hope well into survivorship. Their support is a CLICK or a call (877.467.3638) away.
