We're excited that you're interested in becoming a part of our movement to help patients and families look beyond the cancer diagnosis, cope with treatment, and begin living life to the fullest again. Did you know that this year fundraisers hosted by generous individuals like you have helped train more than 100 Support Volunteers to give the gift of hope to people living with cancer. THANK YOU!
Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about hosting an event.
What kind of help will I receive from Cancer Hope Network for my event?
After your event has been approved, we will send you the following promotional materials:
- Cancer Hope Network By the Numbers
- Cancer Hope Network Talking Points
- Social Media Guide & sample posts
- Cancer Hope Network Logo in color and in black and white
- Support Volunteer Videos
As soon as you receive these, please send over a short 3-4 sentence description of your event because we would love to promote it on our website and social media pages.
I’m creating my own brochures for this event, is that okay?
All publicity materials containing Cancer Hope Network’s name or logo must be reviewed and approved by Cancer Hope Network a minimum of 4 weeks prior to production or distribution. All references to Cancer Hope Network in publicity and promotional materials should say: Cancer Hope Network
I was moved by the Support Volunteer testimonials. I want one of them to speak at my event; how can I make that happen?
Our Support Volunteers are the embodiment of strength and hope, and we’re so happy you think so too! All requests for Support Volunteer speakers for your event must be made no later than four months in advance. We would love for one of them to speak at your event, however, we cannot promise a speaker for your event. If we can schedule a speaker for your event, you will be required to provide reimbursement for their transportation, food and entry for the speaker and a guest.
My event is over, what’s next?
Congratulations! Please mail a check with the donation to the below address including the name of your organization or event in the check memo:

Proceeds generated from your fundraiser may not be reallocated for sponsorship of or tickets to future Cancer Hope Network events, or the purchase of Cancer Hope Network merchandise.
Because of Cancer Hope Network’s responsibility as the recipient of community assets generated through your event, we reserve the right to inspect all fundraiser/event financial records, should there be a question raised about the fundraiser’s proceeds. If we have any questions, we will contact you for a check and accounting record for the event.
